The service

Finnmerke sells weatherproof stickers with unique QR codes. You register what each sticker is attached to. Anyone who finds the item can scan the code and send you a message and their location, without either of you sharing your name, phone number or address.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Norwegian kroner and include shipping within Norway. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. Payment is handled by Stripe. If you pay with Klarna, Klarna's terms also apply. The purchase is binding once you receive the order confirmation by email.

Delivery

We send the stickers from Norway by post. We currently deliver to Norway only. Expected delivery time is [X–Y] working days. You do not pay anything on delivery.

Right of withdrawal

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the stickers, under the Norwegian Cancellation Act (angrerettloven). Notify us by email. You pay the cost of returning the goods. We refund the purchase price within 14 days after receiving the goods, and the codes on returned sheets are deactivated.

Complaints

If the stickers are faulty, you can complain under the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven) for up to two years after delivery. Contact us within a reasonable time after you discover the fault, preferably with a photo.

Pluss and subscriptions

Every purchase includes 3 months of Pluss. The included period applies once per account; new orders do not extend it. Subscriptions are not renewed automatically unless you actively choose automatic renewal. If Pluss expires, your codes keep working on the free plan. Paid settings are hidden, not deleted, and come back if you renew.

Using the service

Use Finnmerke for lawful purposes only. Messages must not be threatening, harassing or misleading. We may delete messages and deactivate codes that are misused. You are responsible for the information you choose to show on your finder page.

Refer a friend

• A friend who buys through your referral link gets 10 % off their first sticker purchase.
• You get NOK 50 in credit when your friend's purchase is final, after 14 days. No credit is given if the purchase is refunded, if your friend has bought before, or if it is your own purchase.
• You can be rewarded for at most 20 referrals per calendar year.
• Credit can be used on stickers and subscriptions, cannot be paid out as money, belongs to the account and expires after 12 months. The oldest credit is used first. Credit and the referral discount cannot be combined in the same order.
• Finnmerke may reject referrals in case of abuse, and reclaim credit if the friend's purchase is later refunded.

Finder's reward

A finder's reward is agreed between owner and finder. Finnmerke does not handle payment of rewards and is not a party to any such agreement.

Liability

Finnmerke makes it easier to get lost items back, but we cannot guarantee that an item is found or returned. We are not liable for indirect losses or for loss of items. This does not limit your rights under mandatory consumer law.

Changes

We may change these terms. Material changes are notified by email before they take effect.

Governing law and disputes

Norwegian law applies. If we cannot agree, you can contact the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) or the EU online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
