Nothing about you on the sticker
The sticker only shows a random code. Your name, address and phone number are never printed on it.
What we process, and why

Finders are anonymous
You don't need an account or to give your name to send a message. The owner only sees what you write and, if you choose, your location and photo. Location data stored in the photo is removed before it is saved. If the owner replies, you see the reply via your private conversation link, and by email if you left your address.
Processors
- Cloudflare: hosting, database, file storage and bot protection
- Stripe: payment
- Klarna: if you choose to pay with Klarna. Klarna is then independently responsible for the information it collects about you.
- Resend: sending email
- Posten Norge: delivery. Receives name and delivery address on the package.
Some of these process data outside the EEA. Transfers are based on the EU standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep data
- Locations, photos and email addresses from finders are deleted 90 days after the conversation was closed or last active.
- Messages are deleted after 12 months.
- Order and payment information is kept for five years, as required by the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act.
- Your account is kept until you delete it under Account in My stickers. Items, messages and photos are then deleted, and your codes are deactivated.
Cookies
We use two cookies: one to keep you logged in, and fm_ref, which remembers a referral link you opened for 30 days so you get the discount. Both are needed for the service. We don't use tracking or analytics.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your data, and object to processing. Email hei@finnmerke.no. You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
